 ISIS chlorine gas attack foiled in Samarra, 12 ISIS fighters killed says Badr Organization

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday the commander of the 6th battalion of the Badr Organization, Mohammed Abbas, announced that its forces had repelled an ISIS chlorine gas attack in Samarra and killed 12 ISIS fighters.

Abbas said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Badr Organization has foiled ISIS chlorine gas attack in Al Rifaiyat area southwest of Samarra,” pointing out that “a detachment consists of 12 ISIS components has been killed”.

“Three elements of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi Militia have been secured as a result of their exposure to suffocation,” Abbas added.

A number of people of Al Rifaiyat area have joined on Saturday the ranks of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi Militia and took up arms to liberate their areas, after ISIS control on their farms, and the sale of their crops.
