(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, a security source in Anbar province said, that dozens of elements of the federal police forces have been either killed or injured in a suicide bombing that targeted their headquarters in al-Thurthar area in north of Fallujah.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told IraqiNews.com, “A suicide bomber driving an armored vehicle carrying explosives detonated himself against the headquarters of the 3rd brigade of the Federal Police Forces in the area of al-Thurthar in north of Fallujah,” adding that, “The explosion resulted in killing and injuring dozens of elements of the police.”

“The security forces have cordoned off the area and transferred the injured to a near hospital for medical treatment and the dead to the Forensic Medicine Authority,” the source also added.
