(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Commander of the Air Force, Anwar Hamad Amin announced on Sunday, that the “F-16” fighter jets will arrive to Iraq soon, while stated that they will overthrow the balance of the battles against ISIS, indicating that its base cost large sums of money and it is “unreasonable” to send them to Jordan or any other country.

Amin said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “The F-16 fighter jets will arrive to Iraq very soon, and there are bases in Iraq, which are ready to receive them,” stressing that, “Jordan or any other country will not receive the jets, because its base in Iraq costs much money, and it is not reasonable to send them to other countries.”

Amin added, “The entry of F-16 fighter jets to serve in Iraq will have a significant and influential role in fighting ISIS and overthrow the balance of the battles against the organization, however, we need ground troops that are able to hold the land,” noting that, “the contract of these jets with the United States is going as planned.”
