28 civilians killed, injured in shelling on area northwest Diyala

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – The Mayor of Khalis district in Diyala province, Uday al-khaddran, announced on Monday evening, that the final outcome of al-Hadid area shelling stood at 28 dead and wounded, pointing out that the security forces have identified the source of the shelling.
Al-khaddran said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “The final toll of al-Hadid area shelling south of Khalis district (15 km northwest of Baquba ) amounted to 8 dead and 20 wounded, including very critical cases.”
Al-khaddran added that “the security services have succeeded in determining the site of the shelling; it is called al-Kasasbeh area, which contains sleeper cells linked to ISIS.”
