ISIS releases graphic video showing 4 Shia ‘spies’ being burned alive in Iraq
(IraqiNews.com) On Monday ISIS released sickening video footage showing four Iraqi Shiite fighters chained and burned alive in the latest atrocity committed by the terrorist organisation.
In the video four men of the Shia Muslim faith are accused of spying against the Sunni Islamic State. They are individually interviewed before being tied up over a fire and burned alive.
The men are then strung up by their hands and feet to a wooden frame, before a fire is lit beneath them and they are burned to death.
The final few seconds of footage show the men as they are agonizingly burnt to death by the flames.
ISIS has entitled the video with a line from the Koran, roughly translated as “Punish them with the same harm they have caused you”, and experts said it came in direct response to videos showing similar atrocities circulated by Iraq’s Shia fighters.
While it was impossible to independently verify the authenticity of Monday’s video, experts said that it appeared to be “an act of vengeance”.
