Iraqi Defense Minister arrives in Erbil to discuss liberalization efforts of Nineveh

(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi has arrived on Wednesday at the Joint Operations Headquarters in Erbil to discuss the liberalization efforts of Nineveh.
The Defense Ministry said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi visited this evening the Joint Operations Command in Erbil province,” noting that al-Obeidi “met upon his arrival the officers working in the headquarters.”
Al-Obeidi was quoted as saying: “The joint operations center should include members from Nineveh police and the Ministry of the Interior as well as the provincial council in order to unify efforts for the liberation of Nineveh from ISIS.”
