(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed outrage at the Russian Defense Ministry’s statements on Turkey’s purchase of oil from the ISIS organization, considering that as “insulting” of his country.

Erdogan said, speaking at a university in the Qatari capital Doha, that “no one has the right to insult Turkey by accusing it of the purchase of oil from the ISIS organization,” renewing his readiness to “resign in the event of proving these allegations.”

Erdogan added that “Turkey does not want to cause further damage in the relations with Russia.”

It is noteworthy,the Russian Defense Ministry declared its possession of evidence that Erdogan and his family are profiting from the smuggling of oil from the territory controlled by the ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
