(Iraqinews.com) Baghdad – On Monday the president of the Coalition of State Law, Nuri al-Maliki, accused Turkey of “having ambitions” in Iraq, warning that it is trying to “carve out” Mosul, taking advantage of the current circumstances in Iraq, while called on the tribes to continue its support to the state in its war against “ISIS.”

Maliki said in a statement issued by his office during a meeting with a delegation of Albu Mohammed tribes, “Iraq has major challenges requiring everyone to face them with wisdom and realism and work to promote unity, cohesion and brotherhood; these meanings are well known to the sons of tribes and clans.”

Maliki renewed “Iraqi’s rejection to the Turkish presence on its territory,” adding that “Turkey has ambitions in Iraq and is trying to carve out Mosul, taking advantage of the circumstances that Iraq is going through.”
