(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Tuesday, a local source in Diyala Province announced, that a speeding truck hit the largest pedestrian bridge in the city, while pointed out that the driver of the truck is currently detained in the security center.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A truck carrying goods of illegal height collided with the pedestrian bridge in Ghalbeya area (15 km northwest of Baquba), causing it to collapse without any casualties.”

The source added, “The pedestrian bridge is located on a strategic road (Baghdad – Kirkuk), while its collapse caused a massive traffic jam,” pointing out that, “The truck driver was arrested and currently detained in the security center.”
