(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said, that Saudi Arabia is working to create more tension in the region and more attempts to reduce oil prices, while emphasized that the Iranian government is committed to protect Saudi diplomats and punish those involved in the embassy’s incident last Saturday.

Zarif said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The tension in the region will affect all the parties,” pointing out that, “The policy of the Islamic Republic is to cooperate with its neighbors.”

“Saudi Arabia is working to create more tension in the region with its attempts to reduce oil prices and opposition to the nuclear agreement.” He added.

Zarif continued, “The execution of Nimr al-Nimr is not acceptable, while the trends of creating tension must stop,” adding that, “We need to stand united and stop those who are adding fuel to the fire.”
