(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Thursday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in Diyala Province to check the security procedures followed in the province after the attacks that were carried out in Muqdadiyah District northeast of Baquba.

A statement received by IraqiNews.com said, “This afternoon, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has arrived in Diyala Province to check the security procedures followed after the attacks on Muqdadiyah District (35 km north east of Baquba),” adding that, “Abadi will meet with local officials in the government of Diyala to discuss many issues including the security situation that witnessed a great tension for several days.”

Noteworthy, Abadi visits Diyala one day after the President of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri who visited the province to meet with a number of officials.
