(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Iran refused to freeze its oil production and blamed Saudi Arabia and other major producers for the falling oil prices, while pointed out that the members of the quadrilateral agreement could stabilize the market by reducing their production to two million barrels per day.

Iran’s representative in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mehdi Assali said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Iran would continue to increase oil production until it reached pre-sanction levels,” indicating that, “Asking Iran to freeze its oil production level is illogical.”

Assali also pointed out, “When Iran was under sanctions, some countries raised their output and they caused the drop in oil prices, “adding that, “How they can expect Iran to co-operate now and pay the price.”
