(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Humam Hamoudi called Russia to boost military and intelligence cooperation between Baghdad and Moscow, stressing the need for joint coordination between all the nations of the world in the exchange of intelligence information in order to eliminate the so-called ISIS, while the Russian ambassador to Iraq Elijah Murgunov expressed his country’s readiness to help in the case of Mosul Dam.

Hamoudi’s media office said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com: “During the meeting with the Russian ambassador to Iraq (Elijah Murgunov), Hamoudi has called Russia to boost military and intelligence cooperation, while also admired Russia’s role in providing weapons and confronting terrorism,” adding that, “Hamoudi stressed the necessity of joint coordination between all the countries in the region and the world in the field of intelligence that accelerate the elimination of ISIS.”

For his part, Murgunov, according to the statement, expressed “his country’s readiness to strengthen parliamentary, cultural, security and investment cooperation between the two countries,” pointing out that, “Russia is ready to help Iraq in the case of Mosul Dam.”
