 Turkish military announces killing 67 Kurdish militants north of Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday the Turkish military claimed, that 67 Kurdish militants were killed during aerial strikes on military camps and stores of weapons north of Iraq.

The Turkish military pointed out that Turkish warplanes targeted sites in Qandil, Matina, Afasin, Haftanin and Basiyan used by the PKK militants.

On the other hand, Turkish officials said that a bomb blast of which the PKK militants were accused had targeted an armored vehicle belonging to the police near the Turkish-Iraqi border yesterday on Friday, while added that two elements of a special force belonging to the police were wounded in the explosion that took place on a road in Hakari region.
