(IraqiNews.com) The US Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday, that the so-called ISIS has lost 40 percent of the territory seized by it, while emphasized that the liberation of the city of Mosul occupies the top priority for his country.

Kerry stated at a press conference in Baghdad followed by IraqiNews.com, “[The ISIS] lost 40 percent of the territory that was controlled by it” pointing out that, “The ISIS elements have taken a defensive position.”

He also added “The liberation of Mosul occupies top priority for the United States,” noting that, “Washington’s role in the operation is focused on the support.”
