(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated that ten (10) Russian air strikes on the Syrian city of Raqqah and its outskirts claimed resulted in heavy casualty which included ISIS members and civilians.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that 30 persons, including ISIS and civilians, were killed apart from injuring 70 others.

On the other hand, Russian forces have announced a daily three hour suspension of military action, however UN officials said that it was too short to take in enough to help the large numbers of people in need.

Medical staff said, “There are also reports of a toxic gas attack on a rebel-held area, four people died and many others were injured,” adding that, “The gas was thought to have been chlorine dropped in a barrel bomb.”

Russian planes also attacked the northern city of Raqqah, an ISIS stronghold. The city’s water supply had been cut off as a result.
