Abadi’s intervention in judiciary affairs surprises Jabouri
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Salim al-Jubouri on Tuesday expressed his surprise at the ‘interference’ of Prime Minister in judiciary affairs.
Jabouri said that the executive officials must not interfere in the working and duties of the legislative and judiciary and rather keep on doing their own respective jobs.
Jubouri, in a statement issued to the media, said, “The Iraqi government system is based on the segregation of powers, according to which the executive authority must not interfere or intervene in the duties and affairs of other authorities.”
