Asayish arrests murderers of cleric Hushyar Ismail

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) Erbil Asayish Directorate announced on Sunday arresting two persons on charges of murdering the Islamic Cleric Hushyar Ismail, and emphasized that the interrogation is ongoing to reveal the circumstances of the crime.

Asayish said in a press statement, “This morning, Asayish forces arrested two persons who committed the murder of the Islamic Cleric Hushyar Ismail,” pointing out that, “The two suspects confessed that they committed the crime.”

“The interrogation is ongoing to reveal the circumstances of the incident, and all legal procedures were fulfilled,” Asayish added.

The Islamic cleric Hushyar Ismail, who was considered one of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, was killed in 23 November 2016 by unidentified gunmen in front of his house.
