Syrian Observatory: ISIS searches for alternative to Baghdadi
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights declared, that the Islamic State group called on “Wilayat al-Raqqa” Command, which is considered its stronghold in Syrian, to come to Iraq, to choose an alternative to its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The Observatory said that the leaders of the ISIS invited all security and military leaders, including Commander of Jaysh al-Sham (The army of the Levant) and Commander of Wilayat al-Raqqa to meet in Iraq, in order to choose an alternative to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented in the previous months that several military elite leaders of the ISIS, including Abu Omar al-Shishani, Abu al-Hajaa al-Tunsi, Abu Usama al-Iraqi and other leaders in Syria, were killed by US-led coalition air strikes.
