Bomb blast north of Baghdad, 2 casualties
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Two civilians were injured due to the explosion of an improvised explosive device near a popular market, north of the capital, Baghdad, a source told Alsumaria News on Tuesday.
The source said, “An improvised explosive device, emplaced near a popular market in Bob al-Sham area, north of Baghdad, exploded at afternoon today, injuring two civilians.”
“Security forces arrived in the area of incident, while ambulances transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive the needed treatment,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
Noteworthy, Baghdad is witnessing several suicide attacks, using booby-trapped vehicles, IEDs and explosive vests, in addition to separate attacks against civilians and security members, leaving dozens of casualties.
