Islamic State moves caliphate to new capital in Syria
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) US military sources informed that the Islamic State group has moved its capital of caliphate from the Syrian city of Raqqa to Deir ez-Zour Province, near the Iraqi borders, due to the intensive air strikes carried out by US-led international coalition, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.
Military officials said that the Islamic State group is now stationed in Deir ez-Zour Province, south of Raqqa, while hundreds of the terrorist group were seen leaving Raqqa, in the last two months.
This comes with the approaching battle to retake the city of Raqqa (the capital of the terrorist group in Syria), and according to military officials, all IS leaders left the city.
