In photos: Remnants of Badush Prison in Mosul
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A number of Iraqi activists posted photos to Facebook showing the remnants of Badush Prison, in western Mosul.
In June 2014 the Islamic State group attacked Badush prison and killed more than 670 Shia, Kurdish and Yazidi prisoners after separating out Sunni prisoners, using rifles and machine guns, according to survivors.
Furthermore, the terrorist group reportedly held hundreds of kidnapped women from Iraq’s Yazidi minority at the prison.
Last month, ‘We Are Coming, Nineveh’ Operations Command announced recapturing Badush Prison and raising Iraqi flag over its buildings.
