Ongoing clashes between SDF and Islamic State west of Raqqa
Raqqa (SyriaNews.media) The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a violent attack, on Tuesday, on the headquarters of the Islamic State group in Kudajran town, west of Raqqa, Qasioun News Agency reported.
According to the media outlet, fierce clashes broke out between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Islamic State group, concurrently with mutual rocket and artillery shelling, in Kudajran town, west of the city of Raqqa.
The clashes broke out after the Syrian Democratic Forces imposed their control, yesterday, over the villages of Chaib el Aaouaj and western Salhabeya, west of Raqqa, and Buwayda and al-Nasira, east of the city.
Noteworthy, Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by international coalition air force, managed to recapture many areas and villages in the city of Raqqa, within the military operation codenamed “Euphrates Wrath.”
