Damascus (Syria News) The United Nations revealed that thousands of Syrian children were either killed or wounded during the armed conflict in Syria since 2013, Enab Baladi News reported on Saturday.

During the UN Security Council session, last Friday, UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba, said that the United Nations documented over 1200 violation cases against children in Syria, pointing out that the violations included the killing and mutilation of more than 600 children, as well as recruiting over 180 others by the fighting parties in Syria.

Meanwhile, human rights organizations estimated that violations against children in Syria by greater numbers, where the Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing of more than 27,000 children in Syria since 2011.
