Iraqi president receives invitation to visit Pakistan soon
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi President Barham Salih received on Sunday an invitation from his Pakistani counterpart Arif Alvi to visit Pakistan soon.
The president had a meeting with Pakistani ambassador to Iraq Sajid Bilal at the As Salam palace in Baghdad, the Iraqi presidency said in a press statement.
“Pakistan is an important and friendly country, and plays a vital role in the current issues,” Salih said.
During the get-together, Salih received a written message from Pakistani president Arif Alvi to visit Islamabad soon.
The meeting also tackled means of promoting relations between the two countries in different fields, the statement read.
