In photos: Damage in Base Falcon after blast on Monday
Baghdad (IraqiNews) Photos were published by Alsumaria News, on Wednesday, showing the great damage inflicted on Base Falcon, after the explosion of munitions warehouse on Monday.
Two days ago, a source in the Ministry of Health informed that one person was killed, while 29 others were injured due to the explosion of munitions warehouse in Base Falcon, in southern Baghdad, Alalaam News reported.
Meanwhile, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Gen. Saad Maan, said that 13 persons were injured in an explosion in Base Falcon in Dawra area, in southern Baghdad.
He further explained that the explosion injured two members of the Iraqi Federal Police and four members of al-Hashd al-Shaabi.
Later on Monday, Baghdad Operations Command announced controlling the explosion, while called the citizens to inform the security forces if they found any unexploded projectiles.
In a press statement, the Command said, “Under the direct supervision of the Commander of Baghdad operations, the competent teams were able to fully control the explosion in the base, and roads now are fully opened.”
