Sadr protesters vow no let-up in parliament occupation

Baghdad – Supporters of powerful Iraqi cleric Moqtada Sadr on Saturday pledged to remain inside the country’s parliament, which they have occupied.

“The demonstrators announce a sit-in until further notice,” Sadr’s movement said in a brief statement to journalists over the WhatsApp messaging platform and carried by state news agency INA.
