Saudi Arabia sends condolences on tank explosion to Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – In response to a tank explosion that occurred within a parking garage to the east of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent condolences to the Republic of Iraq.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “The Kingdom also extends its condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased, and to the brotherly Iraqi people, whilst wishing the injured a speedy recovery.”

At least nine people were killed and more than 13 others were injured from the tank explosion that occurred on Saturday.

The tank explosion occurred just two days after the Iraqi Parliament approved the new cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, marking a major breakthrough in easing political tensions across Iraq.
