One of the films featured in the lineup is Hanging Gardens, a movie directed by Iraqi Ahmed Yassin Al Daradji. Hanging Gardens portrays the story of Taha and his younger brother As’ad, who make a living by scavenging a Baghdad garbage dump for scrap items. However, a big schism develops between the brothers when As’ad discovers an intimate toy and decides to exploit it in a makeshift brothel in Iraq. Hanging Gardens is a personal, sympathetic, and often amusing narrative about growing up children.

The Red Sea International Film Festival will have its second edition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from December 1 to 10, 2022.
