 Iraq to face Oman in the final 25th Gulf Cup match

Basra (IraqiNews.com) – Oman will be vying for their third championship on Thursday after defeating Bahrain 1-0 in the second semifinal match at the Al Mina’a Olympic Stadium in Basra, Iraq. This victory secured Oman’s spot in the championship match of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup, where they will face host country Iraq.

With only seven minutes left, Jameel Al Yahmadi scored the goal that sent Oman into the final match.

The last time Oman participated in the championship game was in Kuwait in 2017–2018, when they won the tournament.

The Iraqi national team defeated the Qatari national team earlier today to advance to the championship game of the 25th Gulf Cup. Iraq’s national team last advanced to the Gulf Cup final in the 21st edition, which was played in Bahrain in 2013.

The final Arabian Gulf Cup match will be played at the Basra International Stadium on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
