 Iraqi Airways’ fifth Airbus A220 lands in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Airways obtained its fifth Airbus A220 at Baghdad International Airport, bringing its purchase for five A220-300s to a close and advancing its fleet modernization ambitions.

The Airbus A220 took off from Montreal Mirabel Airport in Canada, where the Airbus company’s factory for this aircraft is based.

According to SimpleFlying.com, the Iraqi airline’s preliminary letter of intent in 2013 for up to 16 Airbus A220s has now turned into five orders.

Iraqi Airways intends to have 31 Airbus and Boeing planes in its fleet by 2027.
