Basra (IraqiNews.com) – Personnel from Iraq, Kuwait, and the United States participated in a trilateral drill known as a visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) practice in the Persian Gulf.

The Sentinel-class U.S. Coast Guard fast response cutters USCGC Robert Goldman  and USCGC Clarence Sutphin Jr. collaborated with the Iraqi Navy patrol boats PB-307 and PB-310, the Kuwaiti Coast Guard speed boat and fast patrol boat Wadhah, the Kuwaiti Navy supply ship KNS Al-Dorrar, the Kuwaiti Navy patrol boat KNS Failaka, and the Kuwaiti Navy coastal patrol boats KNS Bateel.

The two-day trilateral exercise training in the Persian Gulf covered a variety of maritime threats, including VBSS procedures, small boat operations, fisherman safety, and communication equipment inspections.
