 Iraq to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, gave the order on Thursday to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is under siege as the Israeli army responds for the major attack carried out by Hamas fighters.

The spokesperson of the Iraqi government, Basem Al-Awadi, mentioned in a statement that Al-Sudani’s directive confirms Iraq’s stance on the Palestinian issue.

Al-Awadi elaborated that Iraqi humanitarian aid and medical supplies will be sent to the Gaza Strip in coordination with the Egyptian authorities.

Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, launched by the Hamas movement, entered its sixth day with the escalation of the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.

1,354 Palestinians were killed and 6,049 others were wounded in Gaza so far in the Israeli retaliatory attacks, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Palestinian Health Ministry added that 31 Palestinians were killed and 180 others were wounded in the West Bank.

Israeli media outlets mentioned on Thursday that 1,300 Israelis were killed and approximately 3,300 others were wounded in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
