Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, will begin a regional tour on Monday to discuss the developments in the Gaza Strip.

A political source told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that Al-Sudani will start a regional tour to discuss the latest developments in Gaza, explaining that the first city Al-Sudani will visit is the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Following his visit to Tehran, the Iraqi Prime Minister is expected to visit Gulf capitals for further discussions on the ongoing war in Gaza, according to the source.

The Israeli army continues to bomb the Gaza Strip the 29th day, where the escalation began between the Palestinian Hamas movement and the Israeli forces after Hamas launched the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ operation on October 7, when Hamas militants crossed the border and launched a deadly attack against Israel, killing 1,400 people and taking more than 220 hostages.

More than 9,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 32,000 others have been wounded because of Israel’s subsequent bombardment of the Gaza Strip, where the population is 2.3 million, according to Gaza health officials.

Israeli officials said that 1,400 people have been killed and 3,500 have been injured in rocket launches and terror acts by Hamas.

The devastating Israeli bombing of Gaza sparked widespread protests and condemnations throughout the Middle East, where several Arab countries warned of the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza after Israel demanded that the residents of the Gaza Strip move south or to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
