Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, received on Monday the CEO of Elsewedy Electric, which specializes in sustainable infrastructure solutions, Ahmed Alsewedy.

Alsewedy confirmed his company’s readiness to invest and work in Iraq, as it will establish cooperation mechanisms and conclude agreements in several fields, which will be announced soon, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The meeting addressed the measures taken by the Iraqi government to accelerate economic reform and revitalize industry and agriculture.

Within a clear vision intended to bring about a complete economic and developmental renaissance, the two sides discussed essential measures to create the perfect investment climate for the private sector to attract large worldwide corporations in several specialties.

The Iraqi Prime Minister spoke about the prospects for investment in the gas and electricity sectors, as well as the development of new industrial cities and the need for an integrated service network.

As Iraq moves confidently toward improving the agricultural sector, Al-Sudani also highlighted opportunities in the field of agriculture and the development of a plant to produce sophisticated irrigation sprinklers.
