Mosul airport closed for maintenance

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Mosul airport was closed after being received from the U.S.forces for maintenance operations, airport sources said today. The airport will be closed for 48 hours for maintenance reasons to be ready to receive passengers, the source told IraqiNews.com. Special cadres came from Baghdad to receive Mosul‘s air space. The U.S.forces handed over the airport to the Iraqi forces in a factual move for withdrawing from Iraq. According to the agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington in 2008, the U.S.forces should leave the country by the end of this year.
