$20m new project to connect electricity between Arbil, Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: A new project to connect the electricity stations of Arbil with Sulaimaniya stations was completed at a total cost of $20 million, the projects director of the Sulaimaniya electricity department said Tuesday. “The new project will help stabilize the electricity networks and transfer electricity from the Arbil station to Sulaimaniya,” Engineer Saman Saber Ismail told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project is considered one of the strategic projects in Kurdistan,” he said. “The 79-kilometer project starts from the electricity station in Taslouja region, west of Sulaimaniya, to Taq Taq district in northwest of Sulaimaniya and will be connected to the Taq Taq-Arbil line later,” he noted.
