3 sunken vessels lifted from Basra waterway
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A Turkish company has lifted three sunken vessels from a waterway that links two Basra’s ports of Umm Qasr and Khour al-Zubeir over the past two months, the Iraqi ports department’s relations and information chief said. “This issue positively affected the number of ships heading to Iraq,” Abdelkareem al-Basri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The number of ships arriving at Basra ports has increased by 15 percent,” he added.
