6 municipal projects in Karbala worth ID2b
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Five service projects were launched and a sixth referred to a local company in al-Hirr district, western Karbala province, on Sunday at a cost hitting nearly 2.600 billion Iraqi dinars, according to a local official. “Some local companies embarked on five projects in al-Hirr district, (5 km) western Karbala, in addition to another one as part of the municipalities & public works ministry’s investment plan for 2010 at a total cost of 2.599 billion dinars,” Abbas Nasser Hassani, the Karbala Provincial Council’s Reconstruction & Strategic Planning Committee Chairman, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The projects include the pavement of a 2-km-long road in al-Yarmuk area at 722.250 million, the pavement of the city’s main street at 169.280 million dinars and the construction of two parks in al-Askari neighborhood at 189.977 million dinars and 117.647 million dinars respectively,” he added.
