Agricultural Initiative panel discusses 2011 projects at ID225b
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Agricultural Initiative panel held a meeting with a supporting committee at the water resources ministry to discuss ministry-proposed projects for the year 2011 at a cost of roughly 225 billion Iraqi dinars, according to a statement by the panel on Thursday. “The Initiative’s executive director, Dr. Hussein Jabir, proposed to the water resources ministry some selected projects for the year 2011 and offered a brief study on each one of them to be adopted soon,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The projects include sprinkle irrigation stations in Kirkuk, linkage of main canals of al-Furat al-Sharqi, Sharq al-Gharraf and Gharb al-Gharraf, and excavation of water wells in the provinces of Karbala, Najaf and al-Muthanna.
