Al-Maliki in Karbala to open al-Hindiya bridge
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki arrived in Karbala on Friday to open al-Hindiya bridge, which was established by a local company at a total cost of $4 million, the Karbala governor said. “The premier arrived in Karbala to open al-Hindiya bridge which is considered as one of the important strategic projects,” Engineer Amal al-Din al-Herr told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A local company carried out the whole project with a total cost of 4.5 billion Iraqi dinars ($ 4 million),” he added, noting that the construction works started in June 2006.
