BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The annual conference on the national strategy for developing statistics in Iraq for the years 2010-2014 will be held this Wednesday in the Iraqi capital Baghdad , the Iraqi Ministry of Planning said. “The conference, entitled ‘Towards a national statistics strategy in Iraq that strengthens links between statistics producers and users’ will be held at al-Rasheed Hotel on October 8 under the auspices of the minister of planning, Ali Baban,” according to a ministerial statement received by IraqiNews.com, quoting an official source from the Central Agency for Statistics and Information Technology as saying. “The conference’s morning and evening sessions will tackle several significant issues related to the national strategy for statistics, which is the first of its kind in Iraq , in addition to means of transforming it into applicable projects throughout the years 2010-2014,” the source noted.
