Chinese dig new oil well in Wassit
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Chinese firm that currently executes al-Ahdab oil site in Wassit as part of an investment deal started digging a 3,000 meter deep well on Tuesday, the province’s media director said. “The site is 25 km west of Kut city,” Majid al-Itabi told IraqiNews.com nnews agency. “Work continues on six other wells within the site,” he said. It is expected that al-Ahdab site, which has a reserve of 225 million barrels of crude oil, will produce 200,000 barrels per day.
