Economist calls to release CBI Deputy Governor

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The economist, Laith Mohamed Ridha described the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mudhir Mohamed Salih, as genius economic expert, demanding the Iraqi Judiciary to urgently release him from detention.

Ridha clarified that “Mudhir is not charged with corruption involvement or theft but the charges against him are related to administrative mistakes.”

He expressed his concern towards the continuity of detaining Mudhir who suffers diabetes and blood pressure disorder.

The member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Aliya Nusaiyf announced on 5th , October, 2012 the issuance of arrest warrant against the CBI Deputy Governor on charges related to corruption.
