Energy summit postponed until November 5

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The deputy chairman of the Iraqi-U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on Friday the postponement of the Iraqi Energy Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to be held today, until November 5 for ‘technical reasons’. The summit which was scheduled to be held on October 17-19 was postponed to November 5 because of the delay in preparing the building which should host the conference at the Baghdad International Airport , Majid Fouad told IraqiNews.com. The Iraqi oil ministry had called on specialists and businessmen to take part in the energy conference and exhibition to discuss investment opportunities and to contribute in increasing the production capacity from oil and gas in Iraq . “The exhibition will see offering the investment opportunities in oil and gas fields to the contributed companies,” Fouad added.
