Ex-PM discusses economic ties with Iranian delegation
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Former Iraqi Premier Ibrahim al-Jaafari discussed in Baghdad with the former Iranian foreign minister, Ali Akbar Velayati, and Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, mutual economic cooperation, according to a release issued by Jaafari’s office. Jaafari, who is currently the head of the National Reform Movement, “received the Iranian delegation on Sunday evening,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two sides discussed Iraqi-Iranian relations and means of reinforcing them, in addition to ways of finding opportunities of mutual cooperation to develop the Iraqi economy,” it added.
