Gulf Commercial Bank to hold symposium on investment

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Gulf Commercial Bank on Thursday will hold a symposium to discuss financial and banking investment in Iraq, according to an informed source. “The symposium will be held under the auspices of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) and will be attended by a host of officials and economists,” a bank advisor, Sameer al-Nuseiri, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The symposium will address two themes: the international financial sector and the distinct features of the Iraqi economy. Nuseiri expressed his hope the recommendations of the symposium will help develop the country’s financial investment sector. The Gulf Commercial Bank is an Iraqi commercial bank, headquartered in Baghdad. The bank has 12 branches in Baghdad, Basra, Najaf, Karbala, Diwaniya, Babel, and Arbil. SS (P) 1
