Health minister says Turkish company to carry out hospital project in Karbala
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A Turkish company will embark during the next few weeks on a project to set up a teaching hospital in Karbala at a cost of 177 billion Iraqi dinars, according to the health minister on Sunday. “Turkey’s Universal, which specializes in medical services and hospital construction, will start carrying out the Karbala teaching hospital project. The new seven-storey health facility will have 400 beds and would encompass all medical specialization,” Dr. Saleh Mahdi al-Hasnawi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The hospital will comprise six maternity wards and 10 operation theaters,” he said, adding works on the hospital will hopefully end in two and half years.
