INIC Babel plans to grant investment licenses

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: The Iraq National Investment Commission is planning to draw up a comprehensive investment map in the fields of oil refineries, cement, and petrochemicals plants, education health, tourism, housing and agriculture, the INIC chief in Babel said on Saturday. “Talks are now underway with China to build a sewing plant that is expected to produce 2 million pieces annually, in addition to an iron & steel plant, residential compounds as well as signing a memorandum of understanding to set up an oil refinery in northern Babel,” Alaa Harba told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Talks are also going on with Turkish, Austrian and German companies to build residential compounds and hotels as well as a U.S. company to establish power stations in the province,” he added.
