Iraq announces it expects visit of high-level Swedish delegation in Baghdad
BAGHDAD/IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh on Thursday announced his country is expecting a visit of a high-level Swedish delegation to broker commercial and investment deals. “The two countries conferred the preparations of a high-level commercial delegation headed by the Swedish Trade minister to Iraq in November,” said a government statement received by IraqiNews.com. The delegation would aim at “opening new phase of economic and investment cooperation” in wake of the remarkable security improvement in the once violence-scarred country. “Sweden is willing to boost political and economic cooperation along with bolstering democracy progress in Iraq” the announcement cited the Swedish Ambassador as saying.
